AREA INFORMATION:

Maine Schools

Many towns in our area of Maine do not have high schools of their own. They contract with neighboring towns or a private academy to provide education. Each town may have different rules and customs regarding this. For example, Alna sends students to the Wiscasset schools, but parents can optionally send their secondary school students to Lincoln Academy in Newcastle, Maine, or another secondary institution.
